Krista Pavese
Krista is attending Florida Gulf Coast University to receive her early childhood and elementary education degrees. She was first introduced to Music Together by her voice teacher who thought that this was the perfect opportunity to combine her two loves, singing and children. After one of her younger cousins attended some Music Together classes and she saw the impact that music made in such a young child, she was very excited to start. Now some of her favorite times are sitting around with her cousins and singing songs from one of the selections, as she watches them add their own twist or pretend to be the teacher. Sarah Augusthy
Sarah Augusthy started teaching Music Together as a result of taking her daughter to class!
You may recognize Sarah as former morning anchor for WINK News.
Sarah worked as a television anchor and reporter for 10 years. But
after having a baby, she decided life is too short to spend your days
delivering bad news! Instead, she became a stay at home mom and decided
to deliver the good news of music and the joy it can bring to families
who may or may not be musical.
Sarah earned a Bachelor of Journalism and Bachelor of Music in Vocal
Performance degrees at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Vocal music
scholarships helped pay her way through school and took her all over
the world. She’s performed leading roles in such operas and musicals as
Don Giovanni, Die Fleidermaus, Of Mice and Men, The King and I, and The
Fantastiks!. Currently, she gets the opportunity to perform
occasionally at church. And she always looks forward to singing and
being silly with the families that take her classes.
Sarah and her husband, Reggie, are the proud parents of their toddler
daughter, Nithya, who is quite the singer these days as the result of
her Music Together upbringing!
Sarah completed her training in 2010 and is a registered teacher for the Music Together Program.
