Mixed Ages

Mixed Ages are 0-5 yrs. old. Child development researchers recommend mixed-age grouping as a better learning environment for children. Older children learn from being in a leadership role, and younger children benefit from the example of an older child. Each child participates at his or her own level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, watching, and exploring musical instruments. Even our newborn music makers produce tones, shake their hands, tap their toes, wiggle, and absorb what others around them are singing and playing. Our mixed age class follows the recommendations of early childhood development researchers who have found that grouping mixed-age children together fosters natural, family-style learning. Siblings can participate together. Class size is limited to 12 children.

This class is for Babies 9 months and under. It involves more Parent Education on how to interact with your baby musically and prepares you for a mixed age class.
